ICE-SKATING!!! MUSTRY! [part two]
Okay!! I'm back!!
As i was saying..
YAY, you know what?
I went ice-skating yesterday( which is approximately 4 days ago )!!
Yeap.
At first, when you put on the skates, your ankles will start to hurt a little, or A LOT, fortunately you'll get used to it. Unfortunately, I'm still not used to it yet, so it still hurts, even after about two hours of trying to skate, it still hurts.
well, shannen and i started off at the barriers, where she told me to try, just try to walk with the skates, as if you were just like, well. walking normally.it feels like walking on platforms, so she says, and its true.
It was actually very scary at first, really, VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY SCAAAAAARY.I just kept holding on to the barriers...
Plus, i almost fell. not the " AH! I'm wobbly and about to fall!" kind [that would only last for like a few seconds then I'll be stable again], but the major fall. BACKWARDS. Luckily, i didn't, and the surprising thing was, that she could actually support me! [cause I'm like, 10.5kg heavier than her]
And that happened like, more than three times!! XD
but it was quite okay as Shannen was near by.well, most of the time..
So, after trying to walk but failing, and intro about the skates and the jagged edges, i manged to walk one full round. Guessed how many time did she skate pass me? 5 TIMES. that means, I'm like really slow.
Then she said "this time, try to make it 4 rounds"
lol. what happens next you ask? I didn't do it in 4 rounds.
Not 3,
Not 2,
Not 1,
But 6 rounds. I think when i was trying so hard to skate faster that the jagged edges kept hitting the ice, and when the jagged edges hits the ice, you slow down. It's either that, or you feel wobbly or just fall [if the jagged edges hit the ice and it when a little in].
I also found out that i was a pure Rightie. As in, my right hand/ leg does most of the work. So, my left foot was the one that i could lift up and change the direction, while the right was for support, and sliding. Its just so hard to lift it up. lol.
now i know why. WHY? Because i'm putting all my weight on it. >.<
yea.
when i was doing my rounds, suddenly this female person told me to bend my knees. Cause there was like a little lesson [ that costs S$200+ PER LESSON ] going on in the rink. Plus I'm a stiff stick so it did took me quite a while to bend my knees while trying to skate.
yeap. I then continued to skate/ walk with the skates around. and around.
then i decided to thank the person who told me to bend my knees [ like after so long, well, not that long, but you get what i mean, don't you? ].
Now, the only problem was to find her. WHY? She's wearing a yellow shirt and i see quite a number of people wearing yellow shirt. Including Shannen. I thought i found her. after trying so hard to catch up with the person whom i thought told me to bend my knees, it turned out to be the wrong person. >.<
I TRIED SO HARD JUST TO CATCH UP WITH THAT PERSON WHOM I THOUGHT TOLD ME TO BEND MY KNEES!! are you getting confused?lol.
she was like, a few meters away from me. and she kept skating!! Argh.
Once again, i ran out of time to finish this post. will be up by tomorrow!! PROMISE!!
